Sitting here through the latest snowmageddon. Is every winter storm nowadays the end of the world?? Seems so, if you watch the weather reports!

Actually, this is one of those to stay off the roads though. We got some rain/sleet that turned into ice....and now we're getting several inches of snow....makes for some slick roads!

The NBA has quite a few effective finishers. These are the kinds of players that defenses dread seeing since they know they have the power to get to the rim and then make something happen.

Derek Rose and Tony Parker were feared in their prime, and guys like LeBron James, John Wall, and Russell Westbrook still drive defenses crazy. These offense-focused players can score at the rim on their own, but they can also create open shots for their teammates. When they’re on the floor, the entire defense is in risk of foul trouble.

They’re so effective at the things they do that it looks almost easy when they destroy an opponent’s defense. It’s  always a wise decision to create your game based on such players, but you have to remember that becoming a great finisher isn’t as simple as it might seem. It involves a combination of athleticism, knowledge, a proper technique, and tons of focused practice. Also, if you’re looking to be effective as a scorer near the basket, then there are five things you just can’t do.
