What’s your advice to somebody who is a new leader or aspires to take on the responsibility of leading people? 

The key is in the term “people.” Everybody is different, so you have to get along with multiple personalities. You have to be flexible in the way you do things. And you have to have firm vision and be determined to lead others in a particular direction.

Being a good leader is understanding where you are, understanding what you need to accomplish, and understanding how to get there. You learn how to instill that vision in everyone. It doesn’t matter whether you’re president of the United States or your local 4H club.

Commit to your business. You’re always learning, always growing, always trying new things.

Dream big and try bigger and better things each and every day. Small endeavors won’t ignite the spirit.
