Remembering 9-11
September 11 here at Hoops U. is always a day with wide-ranging emotions.

It is always exciting as today is the anniversary of HoopsU.com. On September 11, 1999 we first hit 'publish' and put our site on the worldwide web! 14 years later we are still here, still teaching the game, and still helping coaches and players get better!

Two years later, on September 11, 2001, this date took on a whole different meaning. The excitement of the day being our anniversary is less celebratory as the emotions of that day still run deep.

As I'm sure it's the same for you, 9/11 is a day filled with remembrance, sadness, anger, and so many other emotions.
Support Tuesday's Children

Instead of offering up some sort of anniversary sale, we choose to incorporate our anniversary tie-in with the 9/11 attacks by supporting those most affected by the events of that day.

The youngest and unborn children who lost parents on 9/11/13 are now about 12 years old. The oldest children are hitting 30 years old!

In honor and in support of the children who had their lives changed forever on 9/11, we are going to donate 50% of all proceeds from the Hoops U. Store earned between 9-11-2013 through 9-18-2013.

The mission of Tuesday's Children was founded to promote long-term healing in all those directly impacted by the events of September 11, 2001. Their mission today is to keep the promise to those children and families while serving and supporting communities affected by acts of terror worldwide.
